Rob Pincus: Welcome to episode number one of the Rob Pincus Podcast. I'm really excited about this project. It's something I've thought about doing for a long time, and I welcome you, the listener, on this journey with me. I do have an outline for exactly what we're going to do, and it's really important that you understand that this outline is flexible. I tend to teach by tangent.

If you don't know who I am, I've been in the firearms industry for 25 years. I've been full-time in education for the last 20, and primarily when I began my journey of education, it was inside of law enforcement, offering training to armed professionals, law enforcement, military, and security personnel primarily. In 2003, I was the director of the Valhalla Training Center, where we developed the Extreme Close Quarter Counter Ambush program, which was used by Army and Navy special operations teams and used in the development of tactics for SWAT teams, as well as high-risk security protective details.

Eventually, we transitioned into civilian training, and in 2008 and 2009 really pivoted my entire company towards private sector training. While we still offered services to armed professionals, primarily I.C.E. Training Company and the Personal Defense Network have been offering vital information to those who want to be better prepared to defend themselves or others in a worst-case scenario for over 15 years. The reality is that these are important skills, and I'm passionate about delivering them to as many people as possible. This podcast will be another way that I deliver that information.

Another thing that's happened over the last decade is that I've gotten more and more involved in firearms rights advocacy and responsible gun ownership. That means working inside and outside the firearms community to make sure people are doing everything they need to do, not only to protect our rights but to exercise them responsibly. Of course, that means getting into politics, and that'll be another aspect of the Rob Pincus Podcast. We'll talk about training, we'll talk about politics, and of course, we'll be talking about some sponsors.

There are some great companies that I've worked with inside and outside of the firearms industry over my career, and I'm sure that some of them will be joining us here on the podcast, as well as some new names. Of course, always it'll be about products and services that I think you, the listener, can benefit from. Obviously, I've already mentioned Personal Defense Network. If you're not familiar with it, after this podcast episode, you can go check out personaldefensenetwork.com, which is the home for a great collection of training information, which has been collected since 2005.

We started as a DVD training series and we were marketed with partners like Guns & Ammo magazine and the National Rifle Association. To date, we've got thousands of opportunities for you to learn there. Online classes, distance education, free articles, and free videos. It's not just me. Thousands of pieces of content collected from some of the world's greatest experts in safety, security, emergency medicine, all the other areas of training and information that you'll be interested in to be better prepared to defend yourself or others in a worst-case scenario. Check out personaldefensenetwork.com when you get a chance after the show.

As I said, we're going to get into training topics, we're also going to get into politics. That means we're also going to be bringing in some other experts. It won't be just me on this journey with you with the Rob Pincus Podcast, we're also going to have some guests. These guests will be from the training community and they may be from the advocacy community. The gun-rights advocacy world is an incredibly diverse world, and I've made some great friends.

A few years ago, I worked on a project called the 2A Rally. We hosted a rally in Washington, DC and we aim to be an area of thought diversity inside of the gun rights community. We'll be drawing from our guests at the first and second 2A Rally from DC, as well as some of the other people that I work with through several nonprofits, including Second Amendment Organization, Walk The Talk America, and the Center for Gun Rights & Responsibilities.

Once again, I welcome you to the Rob Pincus Podcast. I'm excited about the project, I'm excited about the journey, and I do hope that you'll be sharing this podcast with people that are also interested in gun rights or personal defense. Thank you.
